Introducing Atelier'D | A New Chapter in Garment Making

Atelier'D is a studio dedicated to a wide range of garment-making, from couture and custom creations to garment reconstruction and remaking.

Each piece is created by a professional patternmaker with experience across prêt-à-porter and collection pieces for fashion brands in Paris and Tokyo, as well as costumes for stage productions, film, and commercials.

At Atelier'D, we draw on years of experience in patternmaking and sewing to approach each project with care and craftsmanship.

Through this blog, we also plan to share more about the garments and projects we have created at Atelier'D, as well as examples from past work.

How does a garment begin? What process brings it from an idea to a finished piece?

We hope to gradually share more about the craftsmanship and creative process behind the work of Atelier'D.

Koki Wakiyama was born in Tokyo in 1998. After graduating from the Fashion Department at Vantan Design Institute, he spent seven years working in the made-to-measure division of a leading Japanese menswear company. He now works as a fitter at Drapper Hope in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
